The Carer Project

handsMany people in our community care for family members, friends or neighbours with ongoing health concerns. The Carer Project aims to support our community’s carers through the provision of a range of adapted services and activities.

These include:

  • Advice on benefits, housing and employment
  • Individual and group support sessions and an informal weekly drop-in
  • Social events, activities and excursions
  • Help with employability skills, life skills, personal health and well-being.

If you currently spend ten hours a week or more caring for someone who is less able to care for themselves, you may be eligible for financial help and support. Use our contact form to tell us about your situation and find out more about the kinds of support that are available.
